“Muster up the courage”  (When a member of your group is afraid of going out to the second sand bar the players already there should turn and yell “muster up the courage”.  This will encourage the wimpy player and help them push past the fear and move out to the playing area . .  sorry Cullen.)

“Side order of bacon”  (Use at any local Waffle House . . .  again sorry Cullen)

“Thick & fudgey”  (Use at any Fudgery and ask for a free show)

“Super sucker”  (The pull of the mighty sea)

 “Bait ball”  (Fish, fish, fish)

“Teaming with life”  (It’s more than water)

“The Mighty Tilghman”  (Home sweet home)

“Myrtle Beach BI”  (This one can’t be disclosed)

 “Tennessee Studs”  (Possible team name)

 Game Play & Rules

 Pat Tap (original game):

1.       There is one match consisting of multiple rounds.

2.       A match begins when one player says “Pat tap ball is live” (slow steady tones with the word “live” in a slightly lower tone).

3.       Any player starts by throwing the ball toward another player.

4.       Possible plays:

a.       Receiving player taps (Tap: When receiving the ball the receiver taps the ball with one or two hands before catching it) the ball once without it touching the water and then catches it to stay alive.

b.      Receiving player may tap the ball once then tap it off the head for an instant win.

c.       Receiving player may tap the ball then catch one-handed for an exemption into the final round.

d.      Receiving player may tap the ball then bounce off knee and kick someone out of the game.

e.      Receiving player may call “freeze” before tipping the ball.  Remaining players must freeze and the receiving player may tap the ball and hit another player.  If successful the hit player is out.

f.        If the receiving player drops the ball they are out and a new round is started.

5.       The last player standing is the winner of the match.

 Team Pat Tap:

1.       There is one match consisting of multiple rounds.

2.       A match begins when one player says “Pat tap ball is live” (slow steady tones with the word “live” in a slightly lower tone).

3.       Any player starts by throwing the ball toward the other team.

4.       Possible Plays:

a.       Receiving player taps (Tap: When receiving the ball the receiver taps the ball with one or two hands to the other player) the ball to their team mate.  The teammate then taps it back to the original receiving player.  The original receiving player catches the ball.  If successful the round continues.  If the team is not successful then the other team gets one point.

b.      Receiving player may call “instant victory” before tapping the ball.  Receiving player taps the ball to their team mate with one hand.  The teammate then taps it back to the original receiving player with one hand.  The original receiving player catches the ball and the receiving team has an instant victory and is the winner of the match.  If the team is not successful then the other team is the winner of the match.

5.       First team to get five points or receive an instant victory is the winner of the match.

Double Pat Tap (our most popular game created September 27, 2012):

1.       There is one match consisting of multiple games with multiple rounds.

2.       A match begins when one player says “Pat tap ball is live” (slow steady tones with the word “live” in a slightly lower tone).

3.       Any player starts by throwing the ball toward another player.

4.       Possible plays:

a.       Receiving player double taps (Double Tap: When receiving the ball the receiver taps the ball with one hand and then taps it with the other hand before catching it) the ball without it touching the water and then catches it to stay alive.  If the player bobbles or drops the ball they are out of that game and must sit out until the next game is begun.

b.      Receiving player calls “exemption” before touching the ball.  The receiving player then catches the ball with one hand without any bobbles and is exempted from play and will be one of the final two playing to win that game.  If the player bobbles or drops the ball after “exemption" is called they are out of that game and must sit out until the next game is begun.

c.       Receiving player calls “instant victory” before touching the ball.  The receiving player then taps the ball with one hand, next taps the ball off the head and then catches the ball with one or two hands.  If successful the player wins that game and a new game is begun.  If the player is unsuccessful they are out of that game and must sit out until the next game has begun.

d.      Receiving player calls “tournament victory” or “TV” before touching the ball.  The receiving player then taps the ball with one hand over the head and catches the ball with two hands on their back.  If successful the player has won the entire match instantly and game play stops.  If unsuccessful the player is out of the entire match and must sit out until a new match has begun.

5.       The last player standing wins that game and another game is started.

6.       The first player to win five games or complete a successful “TV” is the winner of the match.
